EU social media statistics

An update from PLC today alerted me to the latest official statistics on Internet use in the European Union (PDF document) published this week.

There are all kinds of interesting statistics in the report, but the one that jumps out is that:-

80% of young Internet users in the EU27 are active on social media

I'm sure the devil is in the detail, but this seems like one hell of a demographic bulge which, within a relatively short period of time, will be the target market for providers of legal services.

Of course, whether firms (or individual lawyers) are going to be in a position to ride this wave is a whole different question!
